arthretic handsArthritis is a much more difficult subject than you probably image. Seems we have a tendency to lump all arthritis sufferers into a specific age group or a specific body type.

The truth is that arthritis effects nearly 50 million Americans today. There are over 70 million arthritic pain sufferers worldwide. There is no real age barrier for Arthritis, it can effect anyone from young children to the aged.

In this series of articles, we will talk a little about the 2 different kinds of arthritis and how DMSO can be helpful to restore agility and mobility to those who suffer from its effects.

The least understood and the most painful being Rheumatoid Arthritis or RA. There are roughly 1.3 million Americans suffering from RA today.

We still don’t know a lot about this autoimmune disease, but have supportive evidence that it is onset through both genetics and environmental issues.

We used to think that RA was a “wasting disease”. Commonly believed that resting an immobility with little movement, was essential to curbing the pain. We now know differently. Exercise not only helps the RA sufferer but may be a contributing factor in reducing the risk of ever contracting RA. Most RA sufferers are using exercise as part of their daily treatment.

The issue is, how you exercise when you can hardly move from a place of rest. Simply moving from standing to sitting can be so painful that the sufferer may not stand at all. Writing a letter can cause so much pain as to never hold a pen or pencil again. Making daily activities a mere memory and not a reality.

These are some of the facts that we know about Rheumatoid Arthritis:

RA effects 1.3 million

  • Effects some 1.3 million Americans roughly 1% of all adults
  • Lifestyle elements can play a large role in RA contraction like smoking and even traffic pollution are thought to be contributing factors
  • The lack of sunshine can actually be a contributing factor southern countries have a much lower rate of RA than their Northern counterparts.
  • There is a rise in women with RA and a decrease in men, though to be directly connected to smoking.
  • Vitamin D has shown to be useful agent in curbing the effects of RA. Hence the addition of quality sunlight from south hemisphere dwelling individuals.
  • Depression is caused by a rise in the inflammatory protein tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) which incidentally is caused by Rheumatoid Arthritis.
  • RA is a very high risk factor in heart disease, heart attacks and fibromyalgia
  • Some of the current medicines used to treat RA such as Corticosteroids are directly linked to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, heart failure, cardiovascular issues and death.

All this and much, much more are directly linked to inflammatory issues.

Using DMSO for Rheumatoid Arthritis:

If inflammation is caused by such an array of diseases and inflammation is the primary cause of pain. Then reducing inflammation should alleviate a great majority of problems. Right?

DMSO by nature is a sulfur based compound that is naturally occurring and is safe to use as an inflammation reducing agent.

In fact, there has never been a death related to DMSO ever. Not one!

over the counter drugsIn contrast, non-steroidal anti inflammation drugs, NSAIDS, have been directly linked to over 15,000 deaths a year. Moreover, there are nearly 100,000 individuals hospitalized from these drugs every single year. Obviously, DMSO is a much safer alternative to using over the counter drugs for inflammation.

DMSO has several unique properties that make it a perfect match for RA pain and joint pain relief. DMSO attaches itself to free radical molecules in the body to carry them out as waste.

Reducing heavy metal build up and reducing environmental effects in the body. Both of which are directly linked to RA pain. It can be applied through the skin as a Transdermal drug, making it much more attractive than the liver and kidney killing over the counter drugs.

  • DMSO reduces inflammation in joints, tendons and muscle tissue.
  • Blocks pain receptors and allows natural healing to take place.
  • Penetrates all tissue matter with the exception of teeth, hair and fingernails.
  • Helps regular medicines work well as a transdermal, oral or interventions vehicle.
  • Reducing inflammation, swelling and pain makes DMSO a “mobility “drug.
  • Reducing pain allows the sufferer to start activities that may have been forgotten.
  • Thus allowing the pain sufferer to use exercise to help alleviate some of the debilitating effects of RA.

In short, DMSO really does work. If you can stand the smell and the taste you will definitely benefit from the lasting effects of using DMSO for Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I use it and my family uses it for a number of ailments. DMSO works!
